CPS #123 & "dear friend"

CPS has another sketch up! this time i made two cards, the first one doesn't follow the sketch as much, but the 2nd one does... i used almost exactly the same materials for both.

i love the little cake image--it's from Stamps by Judith, and it's perfect for coloring, even on colored cardstock. i did a little shading and then added some glitter from DeNami Design. the alphas are from Making Memories, as are the orange brads. i think the "official listing" stamp is from Little Yellow Bicycle, but i'm not positive... i threw the packaging away :(

i'm loving ORANGE lately... you'll probably see more of it--brace yourselves :D hehe.

anyway, i'm also including another card i made the other night. it's very similar to THIS ONE, but it's got a really sweet chipboard "deer" image from Colorbok. i <3>

speaking of jokes, i'm in need of some funny, clean, kid jokes to include in a skit i'm in at church (Vacation Bible Adventure [VBA] starts next week!) i am going to be performing in front of middle schoolers, so it has to be comprehensible to them (but probably a step up from "knock, knock" jokes). i'd love to hear your suggestions, if any!

TELL ME YOUR JOKES :D
(it's much appreciated.)

anyway, think that's it, i'm off to bake some banana bread (my sister featured a new recipe on her BLOG, and we've got a TON of bananas waiting for the same delicious fate, so off i go!) thanks so much for stopping by! i'd love to hear what you think about the cards, and any of your jokes :D

All three cards are special and attractive, but I have to say I find the one with the deer particularly charming. I like your orange trend, too! The brads and button placement in that first card are spot on. You're doing great work!

They are lovely!! I really like that big central stamp...Sorry I can't think of any jokes (I just shouted through to my kids to ask them - 9yr old said 'What sort of star is dangerous? A shooting star' Sorry...)
Got to go and get banana bread out the day for it.

These are darling Ginny! I esp. love that adorable deer with the layered scallops!

Sorry, I don't have any jokes. My oldest is seven so we are still in knock-knock phase!

Super fun colors on all of the cards. Way to rock the CPS sketch this week.
