2 sketches 4 you, kazan's #17

this first card is my entry for this weeks sketch over at 2sketches4you. i love laura & kazan's inspiration... it really gets me creating :)

so i've been shopping lately, *see previous day's post* and last night while the family was watching Pride and Prejudice (the 2nd half of the 5 hour version), i was busily putting cards together at my card table by the TV. all my cards turned out beautifully... and i think i owe it to some new paper... i LOVE the little birdies, and the colors totally lend itself to one of my favorite color triads EVER (purple, green, and orange). i was going to add a flower, but when i put the buttons, sentiment, and ribbon on, i thought it would be a tad too busy for the card. i'm not sure how many people will like the orange ribbon--it's rather a bold-ish choice, but i <3 it, like i said!

here's some more cards i squeezed in between proposal scenes (who doesn't love Mr. Darcy?!) that have the same basic scheme...

have a great day, and thanks for stoppping by :)
